Driftline
Safety starts with the shape of the game.
Driftline is designed so players can create shared stories without direct messaging, public profiles, or free text input.
Driftline is not a chat app
The product avoids the mechanics that usually create open-ended stranger communication.
- No direct messages
- No public usernames in paths
- No followers
- No profiles
- No private conversations
- No user search
- No free text input
Content and moderation
The app uses a limited-language design, reporting, and human review to keep paths safer and easier to moderate.
- Players cannot freely type messages.
- Players cannot contact specific users.
- Players cannot follow or search for other players.
- User identity is not shown inside paths.
- Lines are created through curated Word Banks.
- Players can report individual lines and full paths.
- Reported content is reviewed by human moderators.
Public trust note
Driftline does not let users contact specific people, search for users, follow users, maintain private conversations, or publish free-form messages. Lines and paths can be reported, and reported content can be reviewed by human moderators.
